Another parallel between the US and Argentina




One of the cool things about the 'net is the ability to virtually visit pretty much anywhere on earth. I had previously mentioned that I am thinking about putting a bit of money into Argentina, as based on their recent crisis and their subsequent reaction to the IMF, they are likely to figure out their economic woes before the US does.

At the moment, though, Argentina is pissed at France because the Argentines are getting screwed over privatization of their water and sewage systems.

That might pan out in favor of the Argentines.

What strikes me though, about Argentina, is that its governmental structure is curiously similar to the United States, and evidently has been so for a long, long time.

This doesn't bode well for the US; it may mean that our historical and economic trajectory might emulate Argentina's if it hasn't started doing so already.
