Another "new" Microsoft?

A reporter says, more or less, that their threatened by Google in the Times, but to me it looks like what they're going to do is simply charge for all those annoying update-and-reboot-your computer-in-the-middle of work interruptions.

Wonderful. I can only hope that somebody puts together a model of software that "just works" without the cost and annoyance of Microsoft software, and puts them out of business once and for all.

Moreover - flaws and all- Google Earth is the best thing since sliced bread.
