NewDem at Kos has the thunderous news. Jose Padilla gets his habeus corpus petition.
Let's face it: the war on terror should not be a war on the freedom of Americans.
Bush has made it that, and so we must have change in the United States.
The decision is here. To me, regardless of whether or not Padilla is guilty of a crime, it's my opinion that this decision is, in itself, evidence that the Bush regime has committed impeachable acts.
It is also clear, that the Bush regime is not relying on anything remotely approaching a strict construction of the constitution, but rather, a construction of the constitution that allows it to run roughshod over the very rights that define us as Americans.
Oddly enough, not much in the news here in Europe about this.
