Now on to Eason Jordan...

In the parallel universe, the one where Spock has a beard, "Eason Jordan" is the new bête noire.

It is alleged that

asserted that he knew of 12 journalists who had not only been killed by US troops in Iraq, but they had in fact been targeted. He repeated the assertion a few times, which seemed to win favor in parts of the audience (the anti-US crowd) and cause great strain on others.

It is widely known that journalists had been killed by US troops in Iraq. Nobody's seriously disputing that.

As for "targetted," I suspect it depends on how it's implied. Targetting of munitions is standard procedure, and munitions, other than rifle fire, were used in some cases in which journalists died.

We know that, too.

What we don't know is why the wingnutshpere would think this is bigger than "Jeff Gannon"- gate.
